V2026 and Windows 11?

Hi All,
if you are using ZW3D on Win11 are you having any odd issues, especially around drawing?
Any v2026 users experience any Boolean issues - e.g some functions not working? on either Win10 or 11?
Cheers - Paul

Hii mate,
I’m already using ZW3D 2026 version and it’s working properly, all features are functional and I haven’t had any issues so far

Hi, I am running 2026 SP2.
The classic Y-Duct part has proved a challenge.
It should be a super short history.
BUT some Boolean operations have faults.
When doing a Shape to Shape loft you only add 1 Shape in the operation. Older versions could do multiple.
Mirror/Add the Duct fails.
Can you please test on your install?
Anyone else wants to try it an report, that’d be cool.

Hi Paul,
I opened the file, re-ran the file history, and didn’t encounter any issues.
I’m using ZW2026 (no SP). win 10 pro.

Hi Paul, i’m using ZW3D 2026 SP2 and i also didn’t have any problems with your part.
But i saw, that your are using a tolerance of 1mm in step “Add6”. I think this is no good idea.

Hi Paul,

run on win 11 pro + zw3d 2026 SP1 and seems fine. As already reported I also noticed big tolerances values on “add6” (1mm) and “add9” (0.8mm). I could reduce the value on “add6” to 0.01 and the model was updating fine; “add9” instead I kept unchanged as lower value did not work.

Hi Cadman, the reason for the tolerance is to get the Boolean to complete. Try it at the default 0.001 or some other more normal tolerance and see what happens.
Curiously it works fine in in earlier versions at all tolerances.

Thanks Ropa,
The tolerance issue is new.
I’d like to know why that is, as large tolerance values have flow on effects in a more complex model.

Hi Fudge, can you please try with lower tolerances.
If anyone can select both end caps in the Loft Boolean I’d like to know.
Cheers- Paul

Sure,
I tested the “add6” tolerance from 0.001 mm to 1 mm, and it works fine.
“add9” starts working at a tolerance of 0.03 mm.
With a lower tolerance, the operation doesn’t return an error—it completes—but the mirrored object disappears (see image)

Hi Paul,

regarding the profiles selection in the loft command, I have been using only ZW3D 2026 (I am actually a new user) and I found a bit counterintuitive the profile selection. In my case (SP1) I need to select each profile one by one and drop it down as shown in the picture below. Was this different in previous versions?

Hi Ropa, what you are doing is as you say not intuitive until you understand Z3 is RMB (options)and MMB(confirm and/or repeat) centric.
So Confirm completing of selection with MMB then make second selection, then MMB to confirm.
With Z3 if in doubt
The issue is selecting more that one shape to Boolean. Previously we can select multiple shapes to add - in this case - both end caps.

Hi Fudge,
my experience also.
It seems there have been changes that have upset operations as we knew them.
