I work on ZW3D since few days and I have a problem with the structure module.
Indeed, when I create profiles with the Structural Assistant (the good method at first sight), the property “Description” is not proposed and when I try to add this in the Excel file of the profile, the property is added but I cannot change profile the “Change Structure” button.
When this property is not added, I cannot change profile with the “Change Structure” button.
The reason that I need this property “Description” is the “Structural BOM” in drawings. I need this for get a BOM with structure profiles and other parts who have the property “Description”.
I’ve signify this bug to the SAV of the revendor (in France). But perhaps you’ve meet this problem and have a solution for this ?

I’m testing the software for the purchase, and the truth is, I’m torn between loving it and hating it. At first glance, it looks like a very comprehensive program with a multitude of options. While that’s apparently good, when you’re designing, you don’t need such a wide range of possibilities, because in the end, making things easy makes them difficult. As for the structure module, since I design with SolidWorks, I see that it’s very basic and needs almost 100% improvement. I’ve reported these problems to the sales representative in Spain, who, by the way, is very friendly and professional. And it seems as if ZW isn’t very interested in creating a structure module that can compete with the best, especially the multibody module. It’s sad to see how they can create great things and have simply done less than half the job well.
Yes, they’ve a great soft and affordable (with the perpetual license in addition). That is for this reason I choosen ZW3D. In few days, I will launch my activity of independant draftsman and I do minimize the cost of the recurent.
For exemple, paid a subscription every month or trimestrial, I cannot do this actually and I don’t want do this now and after my activity is perennial.
I think the structure module is correct now but need more improvements (like the historical of structure functions : the cuts, the adjustments of profiles etc.) and the possibility of piloting properties for BOMS.
Perhaps someone know this problem and have a solution ?
