Hello,
i know, that in ZW3D you can not use flat area of section for sketch plane.
But if you use datum plane which cuts whole part (like in the screen below)
Is there a possibility how to make section in sketch by its datum plane? Like it´s possible in modeling (Inquire>Section).
And then project section edges? I know that there is the Reference geometry function, but without section view.
I think in Solidworks or Inventor it was possible but i don´t know how in ZW3D.

Hello,
you can select “insert curves” to generate the curves of the component edges on the section plane.

its different than in other softwares and i still prefer possibility to cut entire part in sketch.
But it can be useful so thx.

Otherwise, you can “insert origin,” which adds a plane to the current section’s location.
But yes, you still have to go through a sketch.
