I have got this error message trying to open an assembly:
Assembly recurses at [Part name of an assembly_1] of [Part name of an assembly].
Does any one know why I am getting this error?

This happens because you have two files with the same name and you can’t have them because it can cause these problems.
ZW3D works like (for example) Excel files, which is not a good idea to have files with the same name.
To solve this, you should give different names to the files you work with.
In addition, you need to clear the “Search Paths”
File - Search Paths (select all directories and delete)
If you want to know more about “Search Paths”, check the documents.
By doing this, you will never have problems with files with the same name again.

thanks for taking time.
I never use any files with the same names.
I have made a change in my working process.
In some assemblies I had sub-assemblies that are in a sub folder under the working folder.
I have moved these to the working folder so that ZW3D get direct access to all the files needed.
It seems that it’s working properly now.
If there is any issues I will need to make you a video on my Youtube Channel, to show you the issue.

Then it is possible you accidentally reproduced a file and it is hiding somewhere.
You can manage where ZW searches, try some options and see if the error goes away. If it does you have a duplicate.

Hi,
I have found an old assembly with the same problem.
Now it’s working fine after making sure, that all files of Sub-Assemblies are also in the same working folder.
